SDSF NO DISPLAYABLE DATA message

Postby James_Harrell » Fri Dec 03, 2010 12:48 am

I am receiving data from a RACF defined AS400 Node. With my ID I can look at the data (S) on the SDSF screen. Another user in my Group(same ID prefix and same RACF Group authorities) gets the message NO DISPLAYABLE DATA.
I have checked the ISF parms, RACF permissions to SDSF, JESSPOOL and OPERCMDS. We are "twins".
The only differences between our IDs are:I have System Special and am a Superuser; the other ID is not either.
Can someone help me find mor info about the NO DISPLAYABLE DATA msg. The manual is not very helpful

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Even though you are "twins" the other Id may be "asking" for something other than what you are asking for.

And it does not exist, hence the message.

Not so much a security issue as an individual's request.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

Are you both trying to view the same thing?
Some started tasks that are under subsystem MASTER rather than JES2 cannot be viewed with SDSF. These will display the msg you describe.
