Hi friends.
How I can set my SDSF SYSLOG page (on z/OS) to scroll down automically?
Best regards.

Do you mean without touching a key? I do not think psychic SDSF commands have been invented yet. If you men something else then write something else that actually explains what your problem is.

Yes my mean is without touching?
I remember that I have used "BUT" command and "&" character in front of SDSF command input to do this. But now I forget detail of these commands and parameters.
Which are the usefull commands in front of "SDSF command input" to manage viewing of SYSLOG?
Special thanks .

Hello,

Talk with the system support people as they will know if this is available on your current system. If it is available it may be restricted to prevent people from hanging up a session "forever". . .

Hello,

Try to issue S.LOG and see if this is what you want. Once displayed you can scroll forward or backward to look at the entries.

It might be useful to use the DA command to display the active jobs. And then use the

command (that is an ampersand) to refresh the screen automatically every 10 seconds. It might be useful as a poor man's system monitor. You might glance at it occasionally and may see jobs that are hung up, looping, etc... (not typically, but you might).

You can also use &10 in the syslog display, but it will not automatically scroll. Though, I do not see the benefit of automatically scrolling. In the case of DA, you may look for a trend. With syslog, you would not likely use it like a monitor.

Hello,

Most of my clients have disabled this for everyone but the System Support people. They do not want sessions tied up this way.

If you are trying to watch some particular job, it is quite easy to press enter regularly.
