I am not referring any manual. I want to use the OLTP features like ROLLUP, CUBE etc in DB2. Is this function available in DB2 or not?

If you are not willing to find and read manuals, this is NOT the forum for you. Most of the responders on this forum will provide you a hint and (maybe) a link to the manual. Perhaps you should go find another forum more suited to your lack of literacy?

And, by the way, one hint for you: the manual will tell you that DB2 does not support CUBE. Just one of the many things you could learn if you DID read the manuals.

First of all thanks for your condescending response.

For your kind information I have read manuals and they do not explicitly mention whether the specific functions I was interested in is available or not. However there are server based versions of DB2 that do support it. A simple yes/no answer would have sufficed, rather than being curt.

Please do not waste your time responding to this thread.

Thanks.

Hello,

By asking you to post where you found this in a manual, my intention was to confirm that you "knew" it existed. When i looked in the z/OS v10 manuals as well as online, i found nothing (which means it probably does not exist).

If you had mentioned in your original post that you had not been able to find it in the manuals but that you understood it was available on other platforms, you would have gotten a "is not available on z/OS" reply from me.

The best way to get replies you can use on this forum (as well as the several others i support) is to provide sufficient detail so that someone can help you. Most of us helpers will not read the manuals for people with questions. If someone is "stuck" by something in a manual we will help clarify.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

OLTP and OLAP are quite opposites, the functions you are referencing are actually OLAP functions and not OLTP.
