3590H to 3590E

Postby mehi1353 » Wed May 22, 2013 12:47 pm

Hi all,

I have one 3590H(384 tracks) tape drive in my first site and one 3590E(256) tape drive in second site.

so my "backuped tapes" on first site, doesn't restore on second site!

is there any way to backup with '256 tracks" format with 3590H tape drive?

thanks in advance,
Mehrdad

You need to ask your site support group. They will know the installed devices and their capacities; we on this forum do not work for your site and have no way to know whether or not what you want to do is even possible at your site. And if it is possible at your site, only someone working at your site will be able to tell you how to code the JCL to create a 3590E-compatible tape in a 3590H drive.
