what is the difference among segment type and segment occerences and segment and occerences ?

where it is stored segments means data sets like vsam data sets inthat or some other place inthat pls clarify ......

if we issue one time GN call what will happen ?
think that when issue the GN call in perform loop then only the whole data come to the io-area is it right...
