FINDREP in ICETOOL

Postby amity.vikas » Thu May 21, 2009 3:57 pm

Hi,

I am using FINDREP option with ICETOOL for one the job. Job is running perfectly fine in the test region giving return code 0, however while it was run for the first time in the production job got abended with ABEND=0222.
In the job spool, its showing something like

 INREC IFTHEN=(WHEN=INIT,
       FINDREP=(STARTPOS=25,ENDPOS=34,IN=C'0000-00-00',
       Â£
OPERAND DEFINER ERROR
                OUT=C'         .')),

This shows some kind of syntex error, however this job didnt give any syntex error in test environment.
Please advise.

Are your TEST and PROD systems running with the same level of DFSORT?

FINDREP requires z/OS DFSORT V1R5 PTF UK90013 (July, 2009). The error message indicates you don't have that PTF installed on the production system. The RC=0 indicates you do have that PTF installed on the test system. Ask your System Programmer to install the PTF on the production system.

I'm not sure what you mean by ABEND=0222 (is that S0222 or U0222?) or what caused it. For the ICE006A syntax error, you would have gotten RC=16 (NOABEND in effect) or ABEND U0006 (ABEND in effect).
