Count based on a field value

Postby Naveen@Uppi » Fri Aug 14, 2009 11:00 am

Hi All,

I want to take the count based on a particular field.

for example: if the field values 'A' then the numer of records with field value 'A'
if the fields value is 'B' then the number of records with value 'B'

Is it posible with the Sort utility? Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards,
Naveen N

You can use the OCCUR operator of DFSORT's ICETOOL to do that kind of thing quite easily.

For details and examples, see:
