Record Count in Sequential File.

Postby Vineet » Tue Aug 02, 2011 7:38 pm

I have a Sequential File with LREC=139, RECFM=FB. Total Number of Records in File = 100. My Requirement is If The Record Count in the Sequential file is > 1, I need to Run One Specific Step. If Record Count in Sequential File is = 1, Then I dont want to Run the Step.

Kind Rgds

Well, congratulations on what you want to do. Let us know if it works out.

Since you didn't post any questions, there's not a whole lot more we can say.

Look at the Smart DFSORT Tricks document for the section Set RC of 12, 8 or 4 if file is empty, has more than n records, etc. I think that will answer your question completely.
