Hi,

Is it possible "code"d text to have black-background? That gives a nice feel to be "in a Mainframes forum" . . . :)

But I don't like the green letters on the black boring background.

Do you really need it here too?

Do you really need it here too?

Yup, or the strange red/orange of the plasma screens (3290?). . . though these days i have multiple shades of blue. . . with some high-intensity white. . . :)

But then what does white remind? Probably not Mainframes . . . :)

Hi Anuj,

Actually, i've used multi-shades of blue ever since connections are done thru emulators rather than "real" 3270 terminals. The same color scheme works well for me on the mainframe as well as telnet sessions to unix environments.

fwiw - i really, really dislike the "standard" 3270 blue and red colors. . . In many lighting situations, they are nearly invisable (especially the red) - and that goes back more than 30 years, so i can't blame it on my eyesight ;)

But I'm not yet bored with that combination of colors because my little experience . . . :D. And dick, don't worry about this
(especially the red)
green would just work fine for me . . . :)
