Hello,

Could anyone please give some link or an Idea about Z/tpf. I know its an transaction process facility primarily used in the airline industry I am very much interested to know its architecture and its advantages.

Google is your friend. Googling z/tpf returns 128,000 hits -- several of which on the very first page address the issues you're interested in.

The primary advantage of z/TPF is it can sustained extremely high transaction rates, much higher than is possible using any other mainframe based operating system. Anyone trying to migrate from z/TPF to something running under (say) CICS or IMS is living in a fools paradise.

Writing programs for z/TPF is quite difficult, though I understand you can use C in recent z/TPF releases. This is one reason why people would like to migrate away from z/TPF.
