Clarification on JES parms

Dear all,
Good evening!
Here in my shop i'm doing a task on tunning JES Parm's. While looking into the prior defnition i can find some parms enabled but, still remains dormant when we look at the performance side. For an eg: when i see the JOBDEF i can see
DUPL_JOB=DELAY,
which according to document will not allow the duplicate jobs to get submitted. But clearly i can see more number of duplicate jobs running in this system(whose job card is not overridden with DUPL_DELAY=NODELAY). Is that my assumption/comment on the DUPL_DELAY is wrong? Please let me know in case if i need to give more inputs. Hope i'm clear. Apologize if i'm wrong.

Regards,
Viswa

You can submit the jobs, but they are run one at a time.

Specifies whether or not JES2 is allowed to concurrently execute batch jobs with the same name in the same MAS.

Note this:

Modification: $T JOBDEF operator command or JES2 cold start.

Many of the JOBDEF parameters carry this restriction.

Hi steve thanks a lot for addressing the post!

Is this only for MAS? not for a stand alone? :?. My shop has a stand alone LPAR . Apologize if i'm wrong.

Thanks,
Viswa

A "stand alone" system is the one and only member of a MAS system.
