Hi guys,

Can one LPAR(logical partition) take over two CPCs(CentralProcessing Complex), if these two CPCs belong to the same sysplex?
Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,
Bob

Properly speaking, this is a Systems Programming question, not an Assembler question.

As asked the answer is no, since a sysplex, by definition, can exist over many computer systems.

However, an LPAR in one physical processing frame, can operate many of the CPUs in the physical processing frame. If the entire sysplex includes all of the LPARs in the physical processing frame, then the answer is yes, but not in the way I think the TS asked the question.
