Hi all,
Does mainframes fall under client-server architecture?
If not, could you please explain me under what category it comes?
Also, could anyone please provide me some materials on mainframe architecture?

Thank you

Hello,

When many people mention client/server they mean unix/windows servers.

The IBM mainframe has provided client/server applications for over 30 years.

could anyone please provide me some materials on mainframe architecture
Far too broad a topic. You need to pick somethng more specific.

You could try http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/z/?cm_re= ... ys-zseries and see if anything will provide what you are looking for.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
