ProP - VM/VSE monitoring tool

Postby Hotte » Tue Aug 12, 2008 2:08 pm

Hello together,

actually I write my degree dissertation about IT-Infrastructure monitoring. We have in our company an IBM Mainframe with VM/VSE. A colleague told me, that in the VM/VSE is a monitoring tool included. It calls ProP!?
But I can't find information about it on the ibm-homepage.
Know anyone this tool?

Thanks and greetings,
Hotte

Hello,

You might want to look at the "Programmable Operator" facility.

There is some info here:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/gg244347.pdf

Here also has more:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocente ... sg2b10.htm
If you use programmable operator to search, you'll get over 500 hits:
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
