My interview questions

Hi,

I am new to mainframes. I have faced below question in client interview.
So plz anybody provide answers for below questions....

1. What is the Upstream and Downstream in Company?

2.what is the INTERFACE (b/w front-end and back-end) in ur company?

3.Where we get the INPUTS TO OUR PROJECT (How we can give the input to our project, who will provide input to us, what is the way to use that...is it like files...or any other way?

4. how many applications are there in our project? how we can say? how many applications handled.... how we can say the answer for this?


plz provide answers for those questions.

do not <multi>post! the same topic in the other forum has been deleted


the questions are not specifically related to mainframes...
these are general questions related to an IT environment!

post the replies You gave, tell us if they were accepted/rejected
and somebody will be glad to explain what You did not understand !

anyway when asking about interview question it is wise to post the exact questions,
the one You posted are quite confused and debatable and do not lend themselves to any reasonable reply!

2.Interface means actually which acts as a bridge between the front-end and the back end.I've worked in one project in that We've Presentation layer,service interface layer,service fullfill-ment layer and data access layer.
Here service interface layer is the bridge between the data access layer and the service fullfillment layer.
I hope that u have got our the answer for 1 question.
3.The inputs to your projects means the BRD(Business Requirement Doc) provided by the Business Analyst.
4.How many Apps means i think how many modules you have in your project.
