COBOL compiling error for depending clause

Besides, the error was given in the posts -- there is a period before the DEPENDING so the DEPENDING clause is invalid.
Furthermore, when you have a new issue START A NEW TOPIC! Do NOT tailgate on an old topic. And when you do, provide complete details such as error messages and code (with code tags) -- saying "I have the same problem" means nothing since the problem may be the same or it may be something completely different depending on how good you are at diagnosis.
