I need to masking address and name to XXXXXXX on a statement;
Any one have good idea?

Welcome to the forums, peacealida.

Since you asked this in the ISPF forum, are you displaying the statement on a screen? If not, please give more details about your requirement (programming lang., presentation method, etc.)

O sorry
I have a dataset with address, name and system variable. I need to mask all customer information to X for security purpose, the rest will be print as normal on a statement (Assume it is a template).

Programming language is COBOL on Visionplus.

System variable all start with a &.

Hello,

How does a "system variable" relate to the cobol code? Please post an example of same.
