YOU are asking US for help, then having this attitude? I, for one, am not inclined to provide assistance to someone with such a lousy attitude -- especially since you are asking for something that is covered in any basic COBOL coding course. Which implies either you are trying to get your homework done without learning anything, or you are too lazy to actually do the work. Neither possibility implies a very long IT career for you -- IT people work, and work very hard, to learn a LOT about systems, programming, communications, hardware, interfaces, and a host of other things.
