Disabling END Key in Mainframe.

Postby luckyboyroh » Mon Aug 11, 2014 12:19 pm

Hello Friends,

Need your suggestions.

Whenever i hit "END" key in mainframe screen, it deletes all the text after it. Is there any way where actually by pressing "END" , it will take me to End of Line?

Is there any way to disable the END function key ?

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thank You.

Your emulator is missing to erase (which deletes characters to the next 3270 control character, on a formatted screen, usually the end of line). Look at your emulator's key mappings. Getting directly to the end of the line is another thing. Does your emulator support Entry Assist/DOC processing? Possibly not. Anyway, if it can be done, it is your emulator which will do it. Consult documentation, contact your support/vendor support.

In PCOMM, the default setting for End key is [End Field] and for Ctrl/End it is [Erase EOF]. I think your settings are mixed up. Try to change your keyboard mapping to be End Field.
