To execute a REXX command from JSCAN structured JCL listing

Postby sankar.guna » Sat Dec 13, 2008 1:28 pm

Hi all,
I have a REXX command that works fine in TSO. When i use the same command in JSCAN JCL listing, it says INVALID COMMAND. Is there anything i need to take care before executing the REXX command from the Jscan Screen.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Suggest you post a small example of what you are talking about (use copy/paste and the "Code" tag).

When i use the same command in JSCAN JCL listing, it says INVALID COMMAND
What same command? There is rexx and there is jcl. REXX does not "do" jcl - jcl is submitted.

Obviously, there is something i misunderstand. . . :?
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

I have a feeling that you are in browse mode while you are using the command in JSCAN JCL listing.
If so, first go to view mode by keying 'VIEW' in the command line and then try the command.
[When the system is showing 'Invalid command', press PF1, it will show the details of the error].

I agree with dick, you should have put more details.
