Hi,

I want to get the datasetname inside the PDS. I knows to get the dataset name if i am in the editor but i am in the pds where i can see the member list. Is there any macro which give the current pds name?

A macro can only be executed from an ISPF EDIT or VIEW session. If I'm reading your topic correctly, then it appears that you're not in an active EDIT/VIEW session, so I'd have to say no.

so, is it not possbile to get the dsname out the member. There must be some system variable which stores the value of the ds name.

Hello,

Correct - the dsn is not "in" the member - the data is in the member.

I knows to get the dataset name if i am in the editor but i am in the pds where i can see the member list.
This confuses me. . . If you are not in the editor, how do you see the member list? How are you "in the pds"?

If you explain what you are trying to accomplish, someone may have a suggestion.
