Hello Guys,
what is port in mainframe? I desinged an appilcation in concept of client-server program.How to give a port number? Is there any common port numbers for mainframe? can we give any number as port number? who should i contact for that?

Hello,
Suggest you talk with your mainframe/network support people. They can tell you which ports are already in use and what restrictions there might be.
Network configuration is largely site-specific.
