so running rexx is DOS is fun and all but is there a way to run it in a non-DOS environment. possibly compile it and make it an .exe with a screen or presentation space its own? I read in few other posts where this was brought up, but frankly i didnt understand it.

Or is it possible to use, say, java, to program the screen and have rexx called into the program?

any ideas here?

Kirk

Well, this is a Mainframe forum - not a DOS PC forum and it is for Rexx on the mainframe so...yes is the answer to your question that should not be here. Rexx can be run on *nix, pda's, Macs, Amigas, etc etc etc. Probably on a so-called 'smart' phone. Go to the Rexx Language Assocation page on the web and follow links.
