hello Everyone,
I have been working for a MNC in India for the past 1 year.
My nature of Job includes creating SAS programs and using JCL to run this SAS and get reports or other stuff from the databases or files.
I am excited about a career in mainframes and not in SAS.but my current Job allows me to work with JCL only and not the other skills
like VSAM,MVS,CICS,DB2 etc.Now Imy question is
1.What are the career options for me in mainframes? - i know we have Applications Programmer,Database Administrator.
Can you please advice what other options are there for me in mainframes(of course i need to develop the skill sets for those but i am just interested in
knowing what other options are avilable)? Thanks in Advance!

Re: Mainframe career options
Hello,
I'd suggest attending COBOL classes - COBOL uses "the other skills" you mention. You might also look at http://www.murach.com. There are many mainframe books there.
