problem in ftp

Postby mehi1353 » Sat Sep 07, 2013 5:41 pm

When I use ftp to transfer a file from pc to a pds in mainframe in ascii mode, If a member with the same name exist in pds, the "changed time" of member will be set to "UTC time", instead of "local time"!

How I can force ftp to set the "changed time" in "local time"?

(here in my country, local time = utc time +4:30)

If you change the PDS manually on the mainframe, which time do you get?

Are you logging in to the mainframes FTp server or are you running the FTP client on the mainframe and logging in to the network/pc FTP server?

I don't see anything in my old FTP mainframe manual that speaks to this issue.

Since FTP on a z/OS system is a TCP/IP function, does the user id used for the FTP have a .profile -- and if so, is there an export TZ= line? If there is no export TZ= line in the .profile for the user id, or there is no .profile for the user id, then what is the export TZ= line in /etc/profile -- if this is controlling the FTP time value, you may have to define a .profile or add a line with export TZ= to the existing .profile for the user id.
