Hello,

Suggest that when this batch job is to be run, the online "table" is shut down and when the batch update is done, re-open the online.

Possibly i misunderstane?

How about keeping the table in the vsam cluster and at start up loading the table into a Dataspace

Thanks for your responses. I am going ahead with CICS maintained data table and would record the file statistics and other performance stats to assess the performance gains.
