Re: COBOL string handling

Good.

For a new question, you should start a new topic. Probably in the DB2 forum, DB2 people might not even look at a quesiton about Cobol string handling.

Wait a while to see if a moderator can split the topic.

Hello,

Your topic has been split. Run-on topics are just clutter as they lose their focus. As suggested, when the question/issue evolves, it is best to start a new topic for the new "opportunity".

Did you read here:
http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/ ... /2.1.6.398

Suggest you talk with your database suppport.
Hope this helps,

From db2sysdba:
@shirazi2589

What was the reason code you got ?

"REASON reason-code"

Hopefully, this is now in one topic (instead of 3). One of the redundant topics has been deleted, the other locked.
Hope this helps,
