madhavan - you, yourself, provided the route to take when you replied to another query on usage cost the other day - ask your DBA
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Have you tried running query in QMF yet??
Generally at the time you fire your query it will display the cost on the right hand upper corner.
Try it.
