Using Compare Function

Postby hiw99 » Mon May 24, 2010 9:46 am

When i use fileaid compare in batch, wonder meaning of some compare criteria controls cards.

1. READ_AHEAD_SEQUENCE: Diffence between IGNOGE and ENFORCE?
when ENFORCE, do fileaid skip records OLD or NEW or both?

3. SYNC/KEY Option: when records that have same key occurs, what happens?
when SORTED=NO or SORTED=YES, records are sorted before compare?

plz

thanks

It sounds like you need to spend a bit of time with your File-AID manual. Your installation should have some documentation but you could also look here, these may answer some of your questions.
