Please do not put your personal contact details in any posts.

Please do not asks things such as "as quickly as possible". The people who respond to posts on this forum do so in their own time. Please remember that any urgency is yours and yours alone.

JCL for program compiles is almost certainly site specific as input / output libraries and compile options will be determined by your site policies, of which we can not be expected to know anything about.

I suggest that you ask your peers for help here.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

The duplicate of this post that was appended to an unrelated topic has been removed. Please start a new topic unless you are posting an applicable reply to an existing topic.

You need to create, compile and test your program to sum 2 numbers. If you have problems, reply back here and someone will be able to help. We don't do people's homework, but will help them get thru doing the homework.

If the 2 numbers are to be coded internally (as opposed to being input from outside the code), it may be a very small program. . .
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

What the hell is "cobal"? A blue-ish language?

If you are new to mainframes, you need to be aware that terminology is critical in IT, where similar words may have very different meanings. Yes, you merely misspelled COBOL as "cobal" -- but I worked one place where someone came in claiming "cobalt" experience. The interview did not last long and the person was not hired -- not knowing the proper spelling and pronunciation of the language being claimed wasn't the only deciding factor, but it was a big one.
