Hi all,

I need help from u guys.. We got an entirenet system connected to mainframe.. We upload some data into mainframe from entirenet through an interface.. In mainframe an online transaction is there that will pick the data... During this process we get an error "IMS Inquiry failed -Return code = 16; Reason code = 26" sometimes... Can someone help me to understand why this happening ?

Thanks in advance !!

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Suggest you work with the people who support the mainframe transaction(s). There should be diagnostic information available there.
Hope this helps,

Do you know what type of interface this actually is? As in, does it use MQSeries, IMS Connect, SOAP Gateway, TIBCO?

Chances are, the error code is coming from one of those, or the code that the appropriate 'wizard' generated. I say that because IMS would not bother to put the word 'IMS' in the error message.

If you can answer the architecture question, we might be able to find out more.
