the fact that You are a student does not exempt from using good manners

hi there ... there who ?
do not post using all capitals ( Its considered shouting )
and we do not do FASTER

replying is
on voluntary basis
the responders time and equipment
free of charge

if You have urgency issues get a paid tutor/teacher

anyway since we do not know anything about Your hands on environment
any suggestions might be the wrong one...
read the lab' s doc or ask Your tutor or Your colleagues
cheers

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Hello,

Something to be aware of is that you will probably not be able to do what you want with JCL. To ftp a fle from the mainframe to a pc, the pc must be running an ftp service. Most pc's do not - they run an ftp client.

To do what you want, ask your tutor/colleague if you may connect to ftp on the mainframe from your pc. If this is permissable, you can download (pull) the data from the mainframe to your pc.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
