I think column 72 is for Comments if i put a non blank character will it effects?

Try it and let us know. You've been told numerous times what it is for, so try your idea and see who is correct.

There is your first problem -- you are attempting to think. Think on this -- you are have already been given a direct quote from the IBM manual on the IEHPROGM utility, and that quote specifically stated that a non-blank character is placed in column 72 to continue a statement to the next line. So attempting to think anything else, such as column 72 is for comments, is a complete waste of everyone's time since you have been given the answer and cannot recognize facts instead of your own opinions.
