keep volume unused

Postby samb01 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 7:04 pm

Hello,

i would like to use ten volumes only for my job. (keep them at the start of my job and free them à the end of the job)

My job needs all space provide by those ten volumes.

So, i would like to prevent other job using those disk.

Is it possible to keep those ten disque during my job and after the end of my job "unkeep" them....

Sorry for my bad english...

Probably best to speak to your storage group to see what they can offer
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Hello,

I suspect you need the space, but if it spread across more volumes, it should not be a problem.

As Nic suggests, speak with your storage management. There may already be a dataclas that will work for you and your 10 volumes could be added to that group.
Hope this helps,
