SMF Record for a Group

Postby jaggz » Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:06 pm

Dear All,

Could anyone please let me know if it is possible to find out the SMF record 30(Resource Utilisation) based on RACF default Group. I mean to produce a total CPU or MEMORY consumption for all the user within the one Default Group i.e 21 users in a Default Group to generate a 1 single report consisting of Resource Utilisation.

Any Ideas or Pointers would be really helpful.

Have you looked at the type 30 record layout in the System Management Facility manual in the MVS bookshelf to see what is available? If not, that would be a good place to start your research.

Good luck.

Roughly 10 years ago I had hoped to obtain some storage utilization information from SMF. I gotta tell you it ain't there. I don't think your RACF group ID is gonna work either. I did get useful CPU utilization stats, though.
