Hello Prino,

Going through the panel, it was able to search the string.

Curious, now; batch job and the panel invocation are working, direct invocation failing; so that would mean the search string is not getting resolved correctly hence the failure; is there a way I can find this?

Yup Terry, same worked for Prino as well, and it should work as this is how the manual documents it...
Ironically it doesn't seem to be working for us here, when invoked directly (and not through panel or JCL)

If it makes any difference, I'm using ISPF level 6.3.
