Postby dohara » Sun Mar 07, 2010 8:47 pm

Hi

If i'm in an empty PDS member in ISPF editor, how can i capture the name of the dataset and the member i am in - via REXX?

Thanks,
David.

You can't with REXX. You can, however, with an ISPF Edit Macro (which can be written in REXX). Check here in the z/OS V1R9.0 ISPF Edit and Edit Macros manual.

Hi Captain

Thanks for your reply.
I've read up the manual and managed to make it, even found a better way as i originally wanted to do it :)

Cheers,
David
