What do you mean? How does this relate to TSO/ISPF. Please explain your problem.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

enrico
When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

There are two ways to interpret your initial question.
  • How to get TSO consoles, or
  • How to get consoles dedicated to operator consoles, as opposed to TSO.
There is no practical method to get TSO consoles; these are assigned as people logon to TSO. Since most people access TSO through TCP/IP interfaces these days, or through TCP/IP connecting to a session manager connecting to TSO, there is no single method available to answer your question.

There is a method to answer the question in the second bullet, but it is not a TSO solution; the D CONSOLES operator command. As with TSO, the console list can be very fuzzy, since an operator console can be obtained by using VTAM style connections, which leaves the possibility of connecting via TCP/IP. I don't know what is involved in logging on as an operator console; I know a userid requires special permissions to do this, so I don't know how common it is.

Hello,

From what i've seen, most organizations do not permit "just anyone" to enter/issue console commands.
Hope this helps,

And, unless you are a sysprog, you probably do not need any of this info and if you ARE a sysprog it should be documented somewhere within your department.

I'm sure you have access to System Commands manual (the hardcopy version)
If not you could read it online.

I think you are asking for the Display Console (d c) command

btw, why your posts/questions are not clear? i don't mean from the language's point of view, but you should be more precise and specific when you submit one. :P
If I told you, Mossad would have to kill you :)
