When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

It sounds like you're talking about tapes, in which case I suppose K7 is one of the codes in your tape management system. However, only someone working AT YOUR SITE, knowing the tools available AT YOUR SITE, could possibly help you with such a request. Talk to your coworkers, or team leader, or site support group.

From the AMS for Catalogs seciton 11.0 on DCOLLECT:
Restriction: Use the DCOLLECT command only with volumes that contain an MVS VTOC. If you use the DCOLLECT command with volumes that contain a VM VTOC, the DCOLLECT command fails and error message IDC21804I is displayed.
Since a tape volume does NOT have an MVS VTOC, you're not going to be able to use it to collect information about tapes.
