Difference between Plan and packages.

Difference between Plan and packages.

Hi folks,
I need clarification on the Plan and package. Upto my knowledge the plan contains the packages and the plan is executable and the packages are not. It's also said the packages dont have the access path as the plan has got. Can anyone give me an explanation on this or any links to find the difference. Apologies if i'm wrong.

This question is always being asked - search the forum and the internet (Google)
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
