Hopefully "someone" (scheduling, operations, system support) may have some notes on how things were configured last time.

Maybe there are also some footprints as to what has changed on the system since then (new releases of the operating environment, SAP, etc).

Good luck :)

Nope. If there were notes, the guy himself would have made a note of it. :(
(I'm a part of their system support)

Hi,

This Could be problems may be causing excessive ECSA consumption. In these cases, increasing ECSA to an appropriate amount will resolve the problem but you have to determine the right level of ECSA allocation.

Hi,

Adding to the above since the OMVS runs on TSO so probably you might even have to look at your TSO size, in our shop for running few java exec I Do keep a larger TSO size.
So whats your current TSO region Size ?

d,

So the only way is to see if there's a log for that event and if not, modify the parmlib member(after some research)?

Hello,

The only way to see exactly "what"? What would you hope to find in a log?

Unless someone really knows what they are doing or unless you have a "sandbox" lpar for testing these kinds of things, i still suggest changing nothing until the changes are understood. (Potentially) bringing down the entire lpar is not usually acceptable to management and users. . .

Have you talked with SAP support? They may have been asked for help the last time this was done?
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

Absolutely and categorically not. As with any vendor product, the FIRST place you should turn to for assistance is not this forum -- it should be the vendor. As long as your site acquired the software legitimately, the vendor will provide you support. The vendor is most likely to have seen this particular error before, know exactly how to correct the problem, and whether or not the correction to the problem requires an IPL of the LPAR or not.

Bottom line: for vendor packages, this is not a vendor support forum. We may be able to assist in some cases, but the vast majority of the time your best bet is to contact the vendor directly.

Topic is being locked to encourage you to contact the vendor.
