TSO Panel Programming

Postby hakghen » Sat Aug 28, 2010 1:10 am

Greetings,

I have a z/OS system installed under z/VM (an emulated z/OS environment for tests). Everytime I log on the system using a TN3270 emulator, I have to use the "logon applid(tso)" command to log on TSO.

What I wanted to know is: is there a way to program a panel (like most systems' first panel where we select which subsystem (tso, cics, etc) we want to log on)?
[]'s,

Hello,

Suggest you talk with the people who support VTAM.

Most systems have a "menu" and you can select the application (applid) from this menu rather than keying the "logon applid. . ." manually each time.

You might also consider creating a script or macro within your terminal emulator.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
