I agree your comments. Much appreciated.
If the two JESx systems can communicate with each other using the NJE protocol you can use XMIT directly. The NJE protocol can be implemented using VTAM or (rarely) TCPIP, or even the antique binary synchronous communication.

Two JES2 systems can be connected using shared SPOOL; when this is done the two JES2 systems, running in two LPARs can be thought of as a single JES2 system.
